Big and mighty college student.

Okay, I'm not really big or mighty...but I'm a college student!! Woohoo. This past week has been nothing but fun! I've loved every second of my first college week and I can't believe I'm old enough to be roaming the large campus of good ol' USU. On Wednesday there was lots of different venues on the quad, giving out tons of free stuff! Hey, I'm a poor college student so of course I got as much free stuff as I could. :) haha. The best thing!? I won t-shirt!! I love t-shirts, especially USU t-shirts. :) It was kinda the best.

'Go Aggies, Go Aggies, hey, hey, HEY!'
I've met lots of awesome new people, and yes even some cute boys! haha, it's been everything I dreamed of and more! I have four classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and then just one on Tuesday and Thursday. I like this new schedule of not the same thing every single day. :) My professors are super nice and most of them are funny which makes class not boring. The class I'm probably most excited for is Public Speaking. I don't love having all the attention and speaking in front of tons of people, but this class is going to be really good for me!
Institute is awesome!! I love love love it. I'm taking Doctrines of the Gospel with Brother Jacobs, he is a super funny guy and I love how he teaches. I'm really looking forward to learning more. I'm also taking a Book of Mormon class during the evenings with Brother Salmond. Soooo good!! I'm glad I can still have him be my teacher. :) haha.
There has been many tender mercies I've seen this week, but one of the biggest and scariest I'll share. On Wednesday I was driving with some friends and the sun was in my eyes, so I had to put my hand above my head to block it (my sun blocker thingy broke. Annoying!? Yes:). Well I was just starting to make my way up fourth north, the sun was shining in my eyes and to make matters worse my windshield was dirty so all I could see was glares. I knew I just had to keep going, so I did! I came to a light (didn't even realize I was at a light, that's how bad it was) and just kept going until the girls I was driving yelled at me to stop. I slammed on my brakes, but I was already in the middle of the intersection so I just had to keep going. I RAN THROUGH A RED LIGHT!! Scariest moment of my life. I'm pretty sure my heart sank to my stomach and I immediately said a little prayer of gratitude to my Heavenly Father for watching out for me.
Do not think I'm a bad driver, I really am a good, careful one!! :) I'm ready for week two! Hopefully I can remember all the homework I have and keep on top of it. :) haha. I've got this! :)
