Road Trip!

This past weekend Liz, Kayla and I headed down to Ephraim for a Snow Blast! FYI - a Snow Blast is when HS seniors get to go hang out with Snow College kids and see what it's like down there. :) It was super fun! It's about 3.5 hours away, so it was kind of a long drive but not too bad. We were the farthest travelers, and everyone thought that we were crazy for coming down for such a short trip and such a long drive! :)
So, we left Friday around 10 and stopped for lunch at Zupa's in Layton. YUM! I hadn't ever been there, they have delicious sandwiches, salads and soups. For a great price too!! We started our way down again and arrived at 3 - check in time!
Kayla, our trusty driver. She often went under the speed limit. :) haha.
We played games for about an hour and got to know the other kids that were there and then we separated to meet our ambassador and get a tour of campus. The one thing that really surprised me was that the average class size was 19!! That's smaller than my high school!! After the tour we had dinner at the Institute, then we went ice skating!! I love ice skating, especially outdoors. It was a lot of fun and a good work out. :) As if we hadn't worked off our dinner already, we headed to a dance around 9:30 and danced our hearts out until midnight. The dance was interesting but fun. :) I thought that for sure after the dance since we were all exhausted we would just go home and chill. Nope! These college kids really party it up on the weekends. :) We went to the clubhouse, ate lots of sweets and then headed to Kenzie's (my ambassador) house and watched a movie. I finally got to bed around 3...yeah that's a bit crazy for me! :) haha.
L to R: Morgan Bishop (another girl in my 'group'), me, McKenzie (my ambassador), Miranda (my other ambassador), Kayla and Liz. The silly boy in the back is Caleb, another ambassador. The girl? I dunno.

This morning we had a delicious breakfast at the nine, then we went and played a couple games...then prize drawings!! I was really hoping I would win the Kindle Fire, but I never win anything. :) haha. We said our goodbyes and we were on our way again! Short, but fun trip. :) We stopped for lunch at the Cracker Barrel, once again I hadn't been there and was impressed. :) Utah has a new store, Scheels! It's pretty much like Al's Sporting Goods...multiplied by 25. It has a ferris wheel!!
I was so tempted to buy so many things. Good thing I left my wallet in the car! :) We wanted to ride the ferris wheel but the line was super long and we were all exhausted.
They also have a giant fish tank, it's seriously the coolest store ever!! You should all go visit. :)
As you can see, what a fabulous weekend it's been! Now it is onto all the homework I have...woo hoo!
