- One night the fam & I went to Porcupine Dam to see the salmon. The fish are so pretty, it's a beautiful time of year! Ella and Ava are so cute, I seriously can't get enough of them.
I told her to make a funny face. :)
Cutest smiles EVER!
Ester & Victor.
- I went swing dancing with my friends, it was a fundraiser for a guy who got in a serious car accident this past May. I was hoping to have it be super fun...but no guys would ask us to dance! And it wasn't music we could dance to by ourselves (darn country;) so we waited until the raffle drawing and left. I danced with Lee (yes, my brother!), and that was it. None of my friends got asked to dance either so we decided to go have fun on our own. We went and got ice-cream then went stargazing, it was a wonderful night!
- Picking fresh strawberries with my Mom. Tasty!!
- I went to Time Out for Girls, I'm technically too old to attend that but since it was $25 cheaper than Time Out for Women, I chose it instead. :) It was really good and I loved the amazing speakers and singers. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, it's worth the money!! I'm really looking forward to Time Out for Women next year, I'm sure it will be even better than the girls section. I felt a little old and out of place with all the little beehives, but I still felt the spirit and learned marvelous things!
- There have been so many tender mercies that I've seen, I absolutely love being reminded by my Heavenly Father that He loves me and is watching out for me!
- In my public speaking class we presented our first speech on the 13th. The speech was supposed to be 2 - 3 minutes, and I had practiced for so long and had it around 2 minutes and 40ish seconds. I felt so ready and wasn't too nervous. Well, as I was speaking I kept thinking about how I was obviously speaking waay too fast. I tried to slow down and sat down, feeling like I had done a good job. We are recorded in this class so that we can go back and self evaluate ourselves. Well, I go to watch myself and immediately look at the time - two minutes right on the dot!! Holy cow I about screamed for joy, and quickly said a little prayer of gratitude that I was able to be in the time limit - barely. :)
- Most people don't know this, but I recently took a test on my left eye (that's the eye that the rooster attacked) and it came back with the results that I have a bit of glaucoma. It wasn't super bad, but once glaucoma is in the eye it won't go away. So my eye doctor gave me some eye drops to help keep it where it is. At my last appointment my eye pressure was at an 18, which isn't good at all. I just barely had an appointment and it's at a 13! Which is super good. My normal eye is at an 11 so that's great news. :)
- On Monday (the 23rd) I got a phone call from my dad at 9:30 PM to bring our truck to the farm, hook the trailer up and then help him load up a sow who was having some complications having her babies. We loaded her up and took her to the vet, who performed an emergency c-section. I'll be honest, it was quite interesting and I enjoyed watching the entire c-section! I felt so bad for the mother and piglets though, she looked like she was in pain (and I'm sure she was!) and all of the five piglets were dead. My dad had pulled eight piglets at home and three were already dead, so of the thirteen she had only five survived! Not good. Especially since she was a pricey pig imported from Ohio. It was quite the night, the cops showed up because they saw lots of vehicles outside at one in the morning and were curious to see what was going on. The day after the surgery the mother died, so all in all it has been not so good luck for us! All I can say is I'm glad my dad was home, whenever he is out of town for long periods of time something like this always happens, without fail!
Yes, super blurry but it's probably for your own good. :) This is after all the piglets were removed, that is the uterus sitting on top.
- Sister Elaine S. Dalton came and spoke at our institute. It was so wonderful!! She's so cute. :) It was a start to my perfect weekend.
- My whole family (we really missed Shara and Kyle and their girls!!!) went camping up Logan Canyon. A first, we haven't ever gone with all of the kids and munchkins. :) It was so fun to spend the weekend with them and be with one another the entire time!
Dutch Oven dinner on Friday night. Yum!!Victor & I. What a cutie!!Breakfast. :)Horse ride time! The man on the far right is my Grandpa I.'s brother, Glen. It was his cabin we stayed in.My mom and dad:)Cute Wyatt!
- Saturday and Sunday I babysat James and Owen. It was so much fun to play mom and sleep over. :) They are such good boys and we had a lot of fun together playing. I took them to a movie, we played with all of their toys, made dinner, took them to church...it was just so fun!
- Have I mentioned I've already started listening to Christmas music and put Christmas lights up in my room? I'm sooo excited! :) Under three months! Don't worry though, I am also really enjoying this fall season with hot chocolate and pumpkin everything!
One of my favorite quotes.
